The Gratitude of Lacking Nothing

This week’s item is actually a gift that I received for Christmas from my mom. It’s called the Gratitude of Lacking Nothing necklace and is a mixed-metal necklace with two charms. The silver charm is a yin & yang (the interconnected symbol of balance and harmony). The 24k gold vermeil charm represents a Zen circle (the symbol for enlightenment and the wholeness of the universe). All together the necklace means to be one with a universe of abundance–you are never alone. The quote by Lao Tzu sums everything up perfectly, “when you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” The artist Mary Steratore has a variety of necklaces that mean all sorts of things. Besides the wonderful meaning of the necklace, I love how simple it is. It’s great to wear everyday. I do have to warn you that the necklace is an odd length but that’s one of the things I love about it. It’s long but not too long.

Ok so I legit just got my new earrings in the mail yesterday so today was the first chance I got to wear them! I’ve had them on my mind for quite a while though and have already paired them with multiple outfits before they finally arrived. The earrings come in three separate pieces for each earring: the single claw, the 3 claws and the backing. I bought them for around $10 (including shipping) and they are so worth it! Right now they seem to be sold out on etsy but I bought them from this shop called LeVonne.  I know that I searched them at one point but they were all sold out but then they put more up so I’m not sure, they may become available again. A little warning though…it does take a while for them to ship because they are coming from Singapore. I’m seriously obsessed with them though and can’t wait to wear them more often!!
